This term our topic is ‘Mountains’, with a particular focus on Mount Everest.
Our classroom display:
Everest Stories
The children have done some fantastic adventure stories about being at Everest. Please take a look at a selection of them.
Bikeability
This week the children have been learning how to ride their bikes safely on the road. Their aim was to pass levels 1 and 2 of the bikeability award; I’m extremely proud to say that they all passed!
I was even prouder of the children when the instructors said that they had a fabulous learning attitude, showed such respect to each other and behaved impeccably. Well done year 6.
Attendance Award
On Friday 14th October year 6 won Webster the attendance bear for having the best attendance in the school that week. Well done year 6, keep up the good work!
Climbing a Mountain
On Tuesday 18th October 2016 we climbed a mountain!
17 pupils and 4 members of staff set off to conquer Pen Y Fan, the tallest mountain in the south of the United Kingdom and second tallest mountain in Wales, measuring 886 metres high. We all successfully reached the summit and felt a huge sense of achievement. Well done everyone, another proud teacher day, what a fantastic class I have the privilege of teaching everyday! Go year 6!
